What is a CHEP Pallet?
If you see a wooden pallet, painted blue, it’s most likely owned by the Commonwealth Handling Equipment Pool, aka CHEP. The company manufacturers and rents wooden pallets, using blue paint to differentiate their pallets from others. When customers no longer need the pallet, they return them to an authorized CHEP retrieval site. CHEP’s website indicates their pallets are accepted by 24,000 retailers in North America.
