IN CONJUNCTION WITH MAFI TRANSPORT-SYSTEME GMBH, EASTERN LIFT TRUCK CO., INC. ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF MAFI’S NEW ELECTRIC TERMINAL TRACTOR, THE MODEL T 230e.
Maple Shade, New Jersey, January 12, 2021
MAFI Transport-Systeme GmbH (MAFI) (Tauberbischofsheim, Germany) has announced the release of its newest product, the T 230e, an electric version of its popular diesel T 230 terminal tractor, a.k.a. yard truck. As MAFI’s distributor, Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. is excited to share this news and introduce you to the new T 230e, which will be available in Spring 2021.
MAFI, which has been in business since 1957, was an early pioneer in the production of yard trucks and heavy-duty trailers. Its products are known and respected throughout the world and found in busy seaports, RoRo and container handling operations, and logistics and distribution centers.
The new electric T 230e yard truck retains all of the features that have made the diesel T 230 yard truck popular, such as its hydraulically operated fifth wheel, spacious cabin, small turning radius and great all-round visibility. By swapping out the diesel engine for a battery with up to 177 kwh capacity, the new T 230e will provide a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly option, without loss of performance.
MAFI Sales Director, Jürgen Thorwarth commented: “T 230 operators, who have become accustomed to the comfort and productivity of the T 230, will now enjoy a much quieter operation. Maintenance and cost of operation for the T 230e will be considerably less than typical internal combustion engine yard trucks, as less wear and tear is exerted on componentry.”

MAFI continues to innovate and plans additional “e” models for its other “T” series yards trucks. For info. on MAFI products, please visit our website. For demo and quote requests please contact:
